Retired Catholic Priest/Non-Denom/Traditional and Same Sex weddings
I am a retired Catholic Priest on inactive status. I perform marriages as a Non- Denominational Minister. I have been performing weddings in San Diego, Orange, Los Angeles, Ventura, Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo, Monterrey, and San Francisco since 1971. Refused refund for cancer patientUpon reserving our wedding date for September, we made it very clear to Jerry that my fiancé has Stage 4 cancer and depending on how he responded to treatment really depended on how we would move further. After new treatment and new diagnosis, Jerry was the first person we contacted after we made the very hard decision to call off our wedding. Instead of understanding and or offering the deposit back, we were told that we should just elope and even do it where Jerry is located in Santa Barbara. We have made several attempts to reach out and have never got a response. His contract does not mention anything about cancellation due to health or anything of that matter really. Instead of being understanding we definitely felt used and taken advantage of.
