Cakes Plus

Cakes Plus opened for business on October 11, 1991 in a 1,200 square foot storefront, with a small commercial kitchen and a retail showroom with a limited amount of cake decorating supplies. By 1993 we were baking almost 24 hours a day. The baker and decorators shared the same small commercial kitchen space, so we needed more. In 1997 we moved to a brand new shopping center with a 4,000 square foot storefront, which served us well. But we grew to making 400-500 cakes per week and our beloved second location just wasn’t enough room anymore. So in November of 2020, we upgraded again to a nearly 14,000 square foot space in the Brock Bridge Shopping center on Rt. 198 also in Laurel MD. This gave us more space for baking, decorating, and retail, but we’re most exited about adding fantastic classrooms for a variety of decorating classes which are coming soon!
